Now, THIS is an event NOT to be missed!!! For those of you who don’t know, today is Veteran’s day. And in appreciation of our veterans and active military personnel and famlies Brides Across America has created an amazing nationwide event!
Bridal salons unite across America for the third year to give wedding gowns to qualified military brides. Each participating store prepares a number of gowns, most of which are samples and overstocks worth between $500 and $3,000. Dresses range in size from 4 to 22 and are given away on a first-come-first-served basis. Designers who support the cause include Vera Wang, Alfred Angelo, Carolina Herrera and many other major names in bridal couture.
How To Qualify:
You must be engaged, or had a civil ceremony and planning a wedding within the next 18 months.
You (the bride) were deployed within the past 5 years to Iraq, Afghanistan or Qatar and have not had a formal wedding.
or
Your fiance was deployed within the past 5 years to Iraq, Afghanistan or Qatar.
You or your Fiance is on active duty and will be deploying to Afghanistan, Iraq or to Qatar.
All military brides must bring drivers license or military ID.
Qualifying proof must accompany the bride on day of event:
Copy of deployment papers for you or your Fiance that states the time of deployment and location
