We absolutely LOVE Mr & Mrs Sessions!  With a post wedding session like this we are able to go out and do all the things we did not do the day of.  Here Amanda and Mark met us back out at their ceremony and reception site where they had their winery wedding at Delaney Vineyards for a little fun in the sun.  Aren’t they an adorable couple!  We had so many wonderful photos that I wish I could put them all on here, but I think Jonathan would kill me, so here are just a few of my favorite photos from their winery inspired Mr and Mrs Session.

Mark and Amanda’s wedding day was stunning as well. You should definitely take a few moments to sneak a peek at it. Please let Jonathan and Samantha know we sent you, it would make their day!

They really SPRUCE up a winter wedding. Pun intended there. From pine cone bouquets, to pine cone garlands…..this post is sure to have you giddy over your winter wedding ideas. We dropped by Pinterest for some winter wedding ideas and found an abundance of pine cones. Its raining pine cones in weddings this season. I can remember as a young girl going to pick up pine cones and collecting them for different winter decorating projects. We would dip them in scented wax to fill the air with a wonderful holiday scent, then we would place them in baskets by the fireplace and toss them in a warm cozy fire to infuse the air with that lovely scent. So, it got us thinking – why not bring these things to weddings? Table numbers, place cards, centerpieces, garlands, even bouquets. The possibilities are great. Have fun creating your dream winter wedding and hopefully you can use some pine cones too!

GSS Wedding Trend :: We’re Seeing a Pattern Here :: Pattern Ideas for Weddings

We are visual people and incorporating a pattern into our day is something that can truly show your style to your guests. If you are crazy about polka dots, mad about stripes, or in love with a classic damask pattern, you should do it! We love finding ideas in trends and wedding inspiration and patterns are fun. Yesterday we brought you a gorgeous wedding inspiration board with a chevron pattern scattered throughout. You can bring the pattern in from a the decor to the invitations. There are absolutely no rules! The only rule we say you follow for your wedding is to make it uniquely perfect and YOU!

Classic stripes can be brought into your design with your wedding stationary.

Dare to do damask? An experienced cake artist can cover your desires for that one.

Is whimsical and fun polka dotting your style? Add it to your attire or your wedding dress.

Patterns are everywhere. Plaids, argyles, damasks, stripes, and dots! The first thing we thing when are planning is “what are my colors going to be?” – now imagine thinking…” I know I want polka dots”. Have fun and happy wedding planning!

:: A little from Chelsea ::

I sent out a request through my business Facebook for a couple that would be interested in an engagement session at the county fair. I had a couple requests for styling, but I pretty much left it up to Cassie and Travis. Cassie came up with the look herself and I couldn’t be more pleased! We decided it was “Mad Men” inspired with some modern twists.

Thank you so much, Chelsea for sending us such great portraits to share with our readers. Cassie and Travis, we wish you a lifetime full of love and laughter and may each day be better than the last!

If you have an engagement, wedding, day after, or anniversary session that you would like featured- Please send it to us at submissions@groomsoldseparately.com.  We HEART submissions!

GSS Fun Finds :: Winter Wedding Attire :: Ideas to Keep You Fashionable and WARM!

Its getting cold out and you have a winter wedding rapidly approaching. We have a few trends and inspiration items to get you through the colder temperatures. Lets face it – most wedding dress designs are sleeveless, strapless and lets get real .. not winter friendly. So why not put a shawl, wrap, bolero on to cover your shoulders and keep you warm and fashionable at the same time. We found a great store on Etsy that has several to choose from. Check out Alex Bridal and find lots of solutions to keep your shoulders from shivering.

You had your eye on that keyhole back dress and decided to pass? Now you can have the best of both worlds and split this keyhole back bolero over that stunning strapless gown of yours! Love this!! Sensible and fashionable.

Stay warm this season and don’t skimp on being fashionable at the same time.
