GSS Wedding Trends: Succulents & Air Plants

Happy Thursday, Lovelies!!!  Only one more day until it’s the weekend!  We have absolutely fallen head over heels in love with succulents!  They are so versatile and lend themselves to a multitude of looks: vintage, rustic, modern… Sigh… We just can’t get enough!  Their sweet shape and the fun texture they add to floral arrangements and décor has opened the doors for desert plants of all shapes and sizes to enter the wedding and event scene.

Since brides, designers and florists have become more daring and adventurous with these various desert beauties, we have slowly been forming a new obsession with the succulents’ sister – the air plant.

It’s unique look and wispy feel give it enough substance to stand-alone or be added in with other elements – A variety of flowers and even with succulents. Like the succulent, this distinctive plant life is just as versatile. Their soft curls provide a great romantic vibe and their unique look makes for a one of a kind modern event. We are dying to see more of these used in weddings throughout this Summer!

Here are a few of our favorite air plant wedding applications:

So have you fallen in love with these gorgeous plants?  If so, what are you loving more- Succulents, air plants or both?
