Today’s featured engagement comes from another one of our sweet readers, Cristin. She’s the Bride to Be in this feature! We LOVE it when our readers submit their photos to us for a feature!!! Christine LeGrand, of Christine LeGrand Photography documented their engagement beautifully. Christine is a South Carolina based wedding photographer. Christine has been so sweet and very accommodating to GSS on this feature. Thank you!
Cristin and Zach will be married in October of this year in Clemson, South Carolina. Cristin was kind enough to answer a few questions for us:
How did you and Zach meet? We both attended Clemson University and met our sophomore year playing intramurals together. I also was friends with his brother, so we met through several channels.
How long did you date before the proposal OR How long have you been together? We dated for 2.5 years before the proposal and have been friends for over 4.
Have you set a date yet? Yes! October of this year!

Have you picked your venue? If so, what made you choose this location? Yes! We will be getting married at Clemson University’s Madren Center. We both love Clemson and the location is perfect because it is halfway between our hometowns.

At what point did you know that Zach was “the one”? We were best friends in college but never officially dated. We moved to different cities after college and spent some time apart and about 6 months after graduation started dating. How could you not want to spend the rest of your life with your best friend?

Besides getting engaged, what is your favorite memory as a couple? We are very active and love being on the go. Zach is always teaching me how to do stuff and I love all of those memories. We’ve been SCUBA diving, deep sea fishing, hunting, traveled all over to watch the Clemson Tigers play football, surfed, and played about every sport possible that is one on one.
How did Zach propose? He had an elaborate adventure all set up for one of my favorite areas of his hometown. But while scouting out locations of wooden areas and hay fields, he came down with a nasty sinus infection. He had already planned the after party for about 75 of our friends and family and even though he was sick and on medication still popped the question. When he asked, we were actually in the kitchen of his house which will be our house. It was perfect for us.
Were you surprised? Yes! I was in shorts and a t-shirt with no makeup and my hair pulled up on top of my head so I didn’t exactly think he would be dropping to a knee at that moment. I knew the engagement was coming soon but he really caught me off guard. One minute I was looking out the window answering his questions about where to plant a tree he bought, and the next minute I turn around and he has the ring out!
What made you choose Christine as your photographer? Christine is actually one of my closest friends and one of my bridesmaids, so she won’t be shooting the wedding. Zach and I love hanging out with her and had so much fun documenting our engagement. Erin Sage Photography will be taking our wedding photos and she is amazing!
Thank you so much, Christine, for sharing this amazing engagement with us! Please stop by her website and blog and show her some love! And thank you, Cristin, for taking your time to answer our questions! We wish you and Zach a lifetime full of love, laughter, and happiness!!! May every day be better than the last!
