GSS Featured Engagement Session :: Allison & Kendall’s Sweet Engagement :: Double Knot Photography

Happy Hump Day, Lovelies!!! Today’s fabulous featured engagement comes from Ashley & Micah of Double Knot Photography, a Dallas/Fort Worth & Abilene, Texas based wedding photographers.  Ashley & Micah have been so sweet and accommodating to GSS and we have truly enjoyed working with them on this feature.

Allison and Kendall were recently married on February 11,  in Abilene, Texas.  Allison was kind enough to answer a few questions for us:

How did you and your fiance meet? Kendall and I met through my brother. He was my brother’s friend for a couple of years in college. I actually denied him almost three times before I finally gave in and started dating him. Little did I know I was missing out on the greatest treasure out there. His persistence still blows me away.

How long did you date before the proposal? We dated 5 months before the proposal.

Where was your venue?  What made you choose this location? My dad is a pastor so we got married in my home town at my dad’s church.

At what point did you know that Kendall was “the one”? We had been dating for almost three months and we had the opportunity to go on vacation together to Las Vegas with my family. We had so much fun together that trip. I just knew I wanted to spend the res of my life with him!

Besides getting engaged, what is your favorite memory as a couple? Getting married : ) Our wedding day was perfect! No flaws, no stress, we just got to enjoy the fun and beauty of that day!

How did your fiancé propose? He actually proposed at my dad’s church the day after my brother proposed to his girlfriend….I was totally surprised!!

Were you surprised? YES!!!

How did you come up with the “Milk and Cookies” theme for your shoot? I actually saw this theme at a wedding and thought it would make a really cute engagement shoot.

What made you choose Double Knot Photography as your photographer? Micah has been a very good friend and mentor of mine for a couple years now…not to mention that both of these ladies are incredibly talented. They did such a great job with our engagement session and our wedding!

Thank you so much, Ashley & Micah, for sharing this adorable engagement session with us! Please stop by their website and show them some love! And thank you, Allison, for taking your time to answer our questions! We hope your wedding was everything that you have ever dreamed of and wish you and Kendall a lifetime full of love, laughter, and happiness!!! May every day be better than the last!
