GSS Featured Wedding :: Jaime & Greg’s St. Louis Wedding :: Jodi Schlosser Photography

Happy Hump Day, Lovelies!!!  Today’s fabulous featured wedding comes from Jodi Schlosser of Jodi Schlosser Photography, a St. Louis, Missouri based wedding photographer.   This wedding is very special to GSS, as Tamra grew up with the Bride and her brothers!

Jaime and Greg were married on November 6, 2010 in St. Louis, Missouri.  Jaime was kind enough to answer a few questions for us:

How did you and Greg meet? Greg and I met at a mutual friends wedding. We met in 2007 – and hit it off immediately.

How long have you been together? We have been together 3.5 years.

How did Greg propose? He proposed on December 17th of last year.  When I came home from work one Thursday night, he had taken the day off to prepare and surprise me.  He had turned the lights low and lit candles and was on one knee when I walked through the door.  Complete surprise!

What sold you on your wedding venue? Our wedding venue was a no-brainer.  The mirrors in our ceremony room are what sold me.   And the complete customer service from the Airport Hilton in St Louis, MO.  Especially Connie Barber – Catering Manager.

Your dress is gorgeous, where did you get it and how did you know it was “the one”? I knew exactly what I wanted in a dress, and I found my dress in a magazine and went to the store specifically looking to try it on. Bought it that day!

What was your “something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue”?

Something Old – One bracelet from my mom.

Something New – My dress.

Something Borrowed – Two bracelets from maid of honor and bridesmaid.

Something Blue – Florida Gators garter (Greg is a huge fan!)

How did you choose your wedding color palette? We chose black and green, because black is classic and elegant and green is my favorite color!

Do you have any advice for brides that are in the planning process? Advice for planning…I would say have regular meetings with your mom or maid of honor (depending on who is helping you make decisions…wedding planner, etc…) to knock out decisions one at a time.  Slowly but surely it all comes together in the end. :)

What song did you dance to for your first dance? Our first song was ‘Stay With You’ by John Legend.

What was your favorite part of your big day? My favorite part of the day…Would probably be the look on Greg’s face when my dad gave me away.  Pure love.  So adorable. :)

  1. [...] Somehow the color combination of Sage Green and Black just seems to soothe us.  There’s just something tranquil about this board.  Don’t you think?  We love the idea of the bridesmaids wearing Black dresses and adding the Green in with accessories.  By choosing Black as the bridesmaids’ dress color instead of Sage Green, your bridesmaid will be more apt to get extra use out of their dress.  Plus, every girl loves little Black dresses!   Oh, and if you’re thinking of a St. Patrick’s Day wedding, this would be a perfect way to add in Green without being too cheesy!  Want to see a real wedding featuring this beautiful color combination?  Click here!
