Was there ever a time as a little girl you dreamed of finding a prince and having a wedding far, far away? Being from Texas and having a destination wedding in Thailand would certainly classify as far, far away. Cristina from Wisner Photography sent this gorgeous destination wedding to share with you and we lived vicariously through these images and dreamed we were in Thailand just for a second or two (or maybe a little longer!). Today we are bringing you a traditional wedding with a Thai fusion of food and customs with a good luck lantern send-off. Kari and Pat, we enjoyed this wedding so much and wish you all an incredible journey together! Cristina also shared with us that she is rolling out her new photography blog today. Head over to www.wisnerphotoblog.com and be sure tell her we sent you
They were married on a beach in Phuket, Thailand and stayed at the Moevenpick Hotel and Spa on Karon Beach. Due to the heat on Thailand it was recommended that they use the flower most prevalent in Thailand – orchids.
Kari’s dress was a Palazzo purchased from Patsy’s Bridal in Dallas. Pat was stationed in Iraq on summer months when linen is not in stock so they couldn’t get him a suit from a store. The family imported linen from Italy and had a tailor make it for him so it was custom made.
They were able to enjoy themselves for some non-wedding social activities during the week as well. Some of the things they did were elephant trekking, white water rafting, kayaking mangroves, and a speedboat tour of the island.
